Gggrrrrrr!!!! Frustration!

I so dont even really know where to start... I am getting pretty tired of people and their judgements about this sweet little boy! I've had people tell me he needs structure, i've had people tell me he's bad and it's basically my fault. Just so many things that are offensive to me and break my heart! First I have to say that he is anything but bad! He doesn't go around hitting, pushing, calling names, or biting other kids. He doesn't go around picking fights. He actually tries to avoid confrontation. He is still learning manners, but those are hard to teach any kid. To say please and thankyou, is it really so hard? I've really kind of HAD IT with people and their snap judgements.... Alex does have some issues. I'm not going to lie... He has a really hard time sitting still. I guess that makes him a bad kid and me a bad mom! What people dont know is that I've worked my BUTT off with this kid since the day he was born. He cried from the time he woke up in the mornings until the time he went to bed, then waking up in the middle of the night for a couple more hours of crying. When he was a baby. He didnt nap unless I was driving him around in my car. He was this way until I just started putting him in his bed and letting him cry. Some days he'd cry for an hour strait until he fell asleep. Then he hit 11 months and started running (yes running not walking...) I couldn't get him to sit for ANYTHING! I had to strap him to his chair at mealtimes just so he'd sit long enough to eat. I couldn't take him anywhere unless I could hold him or strap him into something or he'd run off and this little boy is a fast runner! I couldn't even let him out of the house without holding his hand because as soon as he got out, he'd take off running. And then the terrible two's came along.... He'd throw two or three massive temper tantrums everyday. He'd would roll around on the floor screaming until my ears bled. He has improved so much! He has just come so far in the short four years he's been here. Like I said, i've worked my butt off with him. I can take him to the store and let him walk and he doesn't take off running. If we're at home he'll sit to eat a meal (going to somebodies house, though is another story... ) He VERY rarely throws a temeper tantrum. The last one was up in UT and the time before that it had been a year. He will sit long enough to watch a movie or to watch cartoons in the mornings.

He has a difficult time focusing, but i'm working on that as well. I haven't had any medical professional opinions about him, but I think he's A.D.D and A.D.H.D. I'm afraid to take him to the dr for this because I refuse to medicate my four year old because he has tons of energy and has a hard time focusing. I think riddalin on a four year old is a cop out. Yes at the end of everyday I'm exhausted because just watching Alex is exhausting! The running and running...I dont see how he's not tired all the time. But, he just needs something to focus that energy on. Right now he's focused on King Tut. Even though I get tired of talking about King Tut all day everyday, we've both learned alot and sometimes it's the only way I can get him to just sit and relax. I could go on and on.... Just leave him alone! He's a good boy! I'm not going to have society let my boy think that he's bad, because he's NOT!

Big Day!

Today was a big day for my Jonny Cakes! He had two very big "firsts". He rolled over for the first time this morning. I've been trying to get him to do it agian since then , but he wont.... He almost did it while I was watching, but changed his mind at the last minute and flopped back onto his back. He also started reaching for brother (Cam). We were sitting on the couch, Jonathon sitting on my lap, Cam right next to me under my arm and Jonathon started reaching for Cam. It was so cute and so very sweet! He also tried reaching for a "Transformers" toy that was just out of his reach and started to whine when he couldn't reach it. He is growing so big so fast! I really cannot believe that he is already almost five months old! It really does not feel like he can already be that old! I'm going to cry when he turns one! My boys just keep growing and growing! I really wish they could stay little forever! I do love watching them grow and learn as well, it just makes me sad to think that next year Alex will be starting kindergarten, then two years later Cam, then two years after that Jonathon, then two years after that baby unknown (hopefully). Where does the time go?

Alex about 2 years old.

Cam about 15 month old.

Alex about 15 months old. Poor guy had a booboo :(

Cam about 8 months old.

Alex about 8 months old.

Cam about 5 months old

Alex about 5 months old.

Cam about three months old. Jonathon about 3 months old.

Alex about 4 months old.

Jonathon, right before we left the hospital. Cam hours after he was born .

Alex minutes after he was born.

So, my mom and I were talking the other day about how none of my kids looked alike but at one time or another as babies, they looked alike. Alex and Cam as newborns looked alike. Jonathon looked nothing like either one of them. Jonathon now looks like Alex did when he was about his age.
It's so much fun to look at old pics to see how much they've grown and changed and to see who looks like who, when. I got tired of uploading. I would have kept going, but my back and eyes are starting to hurt :)

4 Months!

Sleeping in his swing, which he loves, but is getting too big for it....
first time trying some sweet potatoes!

Our little one turned four months on the 11th. He is the easiest, laid back baby ever! I dont even see any temper in him, which is great! Both of his brothers were born with a bad temper! We started him on solids a couple weeks ago. I tried giving him rice, but i could never get him to eat more than a couple bites. I then decided to start putting veggies in the rice starting with the yuckiest first (I like starting with the yucky ones so they have something to look forward to.) He hated peas, but I dont blame him because I totally hate peas. I then tried carrots. He'd eat a couple bites then start spitting it out. I then tried sweet potatoes. He couldn't get enough! LOVED the sweet potatoes! He doesnt have any new tricks. He tries to blow raspberries, which is kind of advanced. They usually dont do that until they're at least six months old. Other than that, he doesn't do much. He doesn't roll yet, although he has started trying. He is sleeping through the night, which is great! Every morning when I go get him out of his crib he greets me with a big toothless smile! I love it so much! He loves to hold onto my fingers while I'm feeding him or rocking him to sleep, ehich I also love! He is just such a good, sweet little boy! His big brothers love him and he loves them just as much! He's been a great little addition and we just all love him to peices!

Stuff..

Our new family member, Jack! Jack Jack was my sister and brother in law's dog. Well, he ate his daddy's ducks, so now he's our dog.....

Our new house is getting closer to be done! Danny has been working over there every spare minute he has! I'm starting to get very anxious about moving... The whole thing is kind of bitter sweet. I wish we were moving because we wanted to not because we have to. It's kind of like a bad relationship... One that you wished could've ended better. It's all good, though! I'm so excited for new beginnings and new stuff and Danny is making it look pretty nice. It's a trailer that has been added onto, so it 's kind of ghetto, but it wont be when we're all done with it.

Today was the freebay. It was pretty cool! All the people in the comunity took all of their d.i. stuff to the fine arts building at the fair grounds and everybody was envited to "shop for free". I donated some stuff and went to look around for baby walkers/jumpers, clothes for Alex, and furniture. There was so much stuff it was pretty overwhelming! I didnt end up taking anything but felt pretty good about donating. I think they should do one of these once a year!

Alex is getting so smart! He's really into King Tut right now... Strange, I know! He knows alot about King Tut and his family, though. He'll talk about them all day!

Cam is also getting very smart! He is starting to repeat EVERYTHING! The things he says is funny! He was kind of a late talker, but now he's talking quite a bit. He's learning new words everyday. He hit a rough patch after Jonathon came home from the hospital, but

he's finally decided that he loves "baby". Not only was he having a hard time, he was also cutting his two year molars which made for an extra fussy doodles! His teeth have broken through and he likes brother now, so life is good for him!

Jonathon is getting so big! I still think of him as being a newborn even though he's just under four months old. He's just so much a baby to me and I like it! The day he starts rolling around will make me sad... I so love this age! He's sleeping throught the night for the most part. If he wakes up it's not until 4:30 in the morning, then he'll eat and sleep until 9 unless his brothers wake him up before then. He is the worlds easiest baby! All he needs to be happy is a full belly, a clean diaper, and a nap then he's the happiest baby in the world! He really doesn't complain much which makes life so easy!

Our Trip To The Las Vegas Museum Of Natural History

Alex checking out the Eal tank
Daddn and Cam checking out the fish tankThis is a replica of Tut's chair when he was a little boy. It was made of gold and Ivory and other expensive things!

Checking out the things that were found in Tut's tomb when it was discovered

This was a plastic mummy in a plastic sarcophagus. Alex was only somewhat impressed.....

These were mummification tools (sorry so dark...)

Replica of Tut's Sarcophagus

A look into Tut's tomb and the main event!!! An actual repilca of Tut's Sarcophagus. Alex's face lit up like a kid on Christmas morning when we saw this!

First before I tell you about our trip I need to explain why Alex is so into Tut! Grandma with the kitties (Bradford) was babysitting Alex and she had a National Geographic. In this magazine was the family of King Tut. His supposed grandparents, parents, wife, himself, and possible babies (died at birth). There are pictures of their "mummies" (bodies) and he thought that was so cool! I've read their "storries" to him, who they are, where they are from, how they died, how they might possibly be related and so on.. He surprisingly is still very interested in the whole thing and knows their names, how they were "related" to Tut and even how they died. So I decided to see if Vegas had a Tut exhibit and low and behold... THEY DID! It was in The Museum Of Natural History! So last Sunday we had a little family outing! We went to the museum and saw the dinosaurs, mummies, sharks, fishies, "stuffed" animals and other cool things! The kids absolutly loved it! All three of the kids were great and well behaved. (who woulda thunk?) I had a pretty bad cold, but I still enjoyed it! It was great family fun LOL!

Three Months!

Jonathon yelling

Whining :) He's so cute!

I wish I could say how fast the last three months have gone, but I cant. My pregnancy with this little cutie FLEW by! Since he's come, time has seemed to stand still a little. I'm definatly enjoying every minute of it!

His accomplishments are:

he smiles,

coos,

and laughs. He is so ticklish! I cant get him dressed or undressed without him laughing!

He can sit up fully supported, of course.

He does not yet sleep through the night. He still wakes up one to two times a night. With my other two kids I couldn't wait til they slept through the night, but with him I dont really mind getting up with him. It will be very nice when he does sleep through the night, but i do like the us time we get that we dont get during the day with the other two monkeys running around.

His second feeding, which is about between 4-6:00 a.m., I have a really hard time staying awake for. I usually fall asleep and so does he! He has come quite accustomed to this! When I actually do stay awake and put him back to bed, he objects! I usually just pick him back up so we can cuddle and we both get a couple more hours of sleep! Yes, this little monkey is spoiled rotten! He pretty much gets whatever he wants, which at this age is just cuddles.

He is such a good baby! He never got colicy, he doesnt cry other than when he's hungry, tired, or has a dirty diaper. He has been a great little addition to our family! We sure do love him! (including his brothers.)
