My New Years Resolutions!

I totally thought this needed pics of my adorable little boys....

No. 1. Lose the last 10 lbs that have refused to come

off after giving birth! 10 lbs on somebody 5'2" is alot!

No.2 work out with my Wii fit everyday (not just for a week)

No.3 Cook real food at least 3 or 4 times a week.

(I dont really love to cook...)

No.4 Keep the entire house (inc. bathrooms, office, kid's bedrooms, ect)

clean at all times!

No.5 Be a better wife/ mother. I'm sure I slack at these

sometimes..

No. 6 finish painting our bedroom, Cam's bedroom

guest bathroom. (yes I'm really good at starting projects and not finishing them) (blame it on A.D.D.)

No.7 Keep our office completly organised and bookwork kept up all

year long!

No.8 Get Alex pottie trained!!!

No.9 Start to enjoy dishes, laundry, scrubbing toilets, because I have

a life sentence, so I might as well enjoy myself!

Our Christmas Adventure!

This year For Christmas, I was super worried about the kids not getting enough toys, due to the lack of income. They got so spoiled! Our livivng room floor is completly covered with toys and clothes! Danny and the boys got me a new nintendo wii! I was so excited! I also got the wii fit! I've had a heck of a time losing the last 10 lbs after giving birth to Camadoodles, but then again I really dont believe in dieting... That's another story, tho.
Anyhoo, I will start from the beginning! My big brother Rob flew in from Washington State Wed. night, so exciting! Christmas Eve we had dinner over at our house, not having the traditional Christmas Eve dinner. We had shrimp, corn bread, and a ham for the kids and non shrimp eaters, with a delicous spinnache/ strawberry salad. We hung out watching Fred Clause while eating our shrimp. Everybody started leaving, we started getting the kiddos ready for santa (bed). They had no problem falling asleep because I told them that if they were'nt good little boys and stayed up, santa would skip our house (yes, I'm mean!). Danny and I were up until 12:00 A.M. wrapping presents, then we went to bed, not even cleaning up the dinner mess! Cam was the first to wake up at 7:00 a.m.. Of course, I got up with him.. Then Danny aand Alex woke up at 7:30. Alex was so excited!! We had one of his toys set up already, so he ended up not wanting to open up any of his presents. Danny and I opened all the kid's presents then went over to the Bradfords for breakfast. We got to meet little Bridgette (so stinkin cute!). We got home went to sleep, woke up and I made funeral potatoes, and we went over to the Kohntopps for dinner! We came home and the kids WOULDN'T go to sleep!! They wanted to stay up all night and play with their toys!! Finally, by 9, they went to bed. Alex didnt go to sleep until about 9:30, but he played quietly in his bed with his new turtle nightlight. I'm now, extremly exhausted and need a nap!

P.s. cute story! Christmas eve, I went in Alex's room to check on him before going to sleep, and when I walked in he sat up in his bed and said "Santa?". Thinking this was so cute, and laughing I say," nope it's mommy. Santa hasn't come yet, so you need to go back to sleep, or he wont come. ".He then layed back down in his bed, proceeding to go to sleep. I thought that was the cutest thing ever!

Alex refuses to take naps, most days, and it is not unusual for me to go into his room to check on him about 5:30-6 because of the silence, and he is sound asleep in his bed..

He thinks that it's really cool to chill out in boxes/coolers...

I dont think that I've done just an Alex post in a while... He is almost 3 years old (will be on the 1st of Feb). He is not pottie trained! I dont know if he's afraid to use the toilet, but he refuses to use it! I will put him on the toilet, and he will sit there, then stand up and pee on the floor. I dont know why exactly he does this, but I get tired of scrubbing pee off the floor, or carpet. So, He will have no choice this summer (hopefully before), but with him patience is key! He is starting to talk really well, still cant understand everything he says, but he is getting really good at talking in sentenses. He is a super funny little boy. For example, we were over at aunt noni's house (nadja) the other day and he was carrying around a toy. He kept saying mommy, this is really, really heavy! So, I told him that if it was really, really heavy, he should put it down. He looks at me and says, "it's ok, I strong enough, I work out!". It was so funny! I sat there and laughed! He never walks, always runs (but then again, he never did just walk). He is super crazy! He never slows down, we cant even get him to sit down long enough to eat, so he eats on the run. He has tons of energy, but with age is getting calmer. He is groing out of his shyness and will actually play with other kids, and talk to other adults. He is still a super, big, mama's boy! When he's is sweet, he is the sweetest little boy in the world, but when not in a good mood, LOOK OUT! Man, he can be cranky! We do love our little Rockets! He is such a good big brother, and he just has so much love for everybody! Hopefully that is a quality that will stick with him throughout the years! Love you monkey man!

I'm getting old!!

So, My 26th birthday was last Friday... I feel like i'm getting way too old for comfort! I feel old, too! I have a hard time staying up past 10:30 most nights, I have a hard time staying up all thru the day without a nap. Next i'll be yelling at teenagers to turn their music down LOL! Oye! To get old... Anyhow, this is what Danny and the kids gave me for my b-day. A new bedding set for our bed (yes we have tons of pillows! I have pillows hiding behid pillows). They also gave me a big bag of pistachios. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE pistachios! Danny made me a great steak and baked potato dinner with sauted mushrooms and onions! Then after dinner, we rushed over to Nadja's house because it was also Mattingly's birthday, she is two years old now! We didn't eat any of the b-day cake because Danny had purchased me an icecream cake from Baskin Robins! YUM!! So, when we got home, even tho we were still full from dinner, we ate my icecream cake! Watched a movie (without the kids) then I went to bed... one year older than the night before.

My baby boy is already 9 months old!

My sweet little Camadoodles turned 9 months the other day! He has learned so much since my last post! He is now crawling (started at 8 months), he can pull him self up to standing (started last week, just under 9 months), he has two teeth (got them at 7 months), he CAN say mama, he only refuses to and thinks it's really funny to say dada instead! He loves to play with other children (especially cousin Kissyfer!). He is total mama's boy, but not to the point where I cant leave the room without him. He loves to play, sit on moma's lap and give big brother little HAHA! looks! (they actually fight over who gets to sit on my lap) He is such a little joy!! He is always so happy (rarely cranky). He is just one of those happy to be here type of people. I feel really blessed to have such wonderful children!! I love you Camadoos and Rockets! (aka. Cameron and Alex :))

What's in a name?

2. Did you or your partner come to your marriage with pre-selected names? Yes. He wanted our first born to be either Alexandrea or Alexander. i liked the name and agreed.

3. Did you consider the sound of the first and middle and last name combination? Yes! Alex's first name is Henry, just because Henry Alexander had a better ring to it than Alexander Henry. it just sounded kinda funny!

4. Did you have veto power? I didnt really need it, but there is noway i'd let him give our kids a name that I absolutly hated!

5. Did baby naming cause arguments? Nope.

6. Did you think was easier to name boys or girls? We have two boys. The first one was super easy. We'd decided alexander long before we thought of having kids and Henry, after grandpa and great grandpa Bradford. Cam's was alittle more challenging because we thought he was a girl, and lets face it, when I found out I was pregnant i was hoping for a girl. I WOULD'NT change him for anything, tho! I do have a girls name picked out, that was going to be Cam's name.. It is Elyse Lola Bradford. (dont steal that name! It is mine!)

7. Did you eliminate names because of people from your past or present who you don't like or because a certain image come to mind? YES!!! There are tons of names out there that I would never even think about naming my child because of somebody I know, or knew who weren't very nice or had a really bad reputation....

8. Did you tell people the child's name before it was born or 'keep it in the vault'? everybody, only Danny wanted to keep it secret .. If he wanted it to be a secret he shouldn't have told me HA!!

9. Did you use baby name books. I did.. I still look at it from time to time, to pick out more names (boys) I really think that I'm gonna have all boys! They're tons of fun, so I cant complain!

Henry after papa and great papa, Alexander after Danny's best friend, Cameron because we liked the name, Daniel after what's his face (j/k) named after his daddy :)

The Christmas Shopping Experience :)

Yesterday my sisters, mother, and I got up bright and early to go Christmas shopping! Alot of stores was having their black friday sales, so we decided we'd rather go now, than the actual black friday, with all the crazy shoppers! We left at 7:00 a.m. drove to Henderson, to our first location, Toys R Us!!! That store is so much fun!! I got both kids two "big" presents , Alex some books and, Cam some things to chew on. After I spent more than half my money on toys, we left for our next destination! Old Navy!! There I got both kids some clothes, and by the time we left there, I had $40.00 left! When we left Old Navy, we headed over to Target. Going to Target and not spending a dime is so hard, but I did it! I probably would have spent the rest of my money on more toys, but I needed to have something left over! We went to the Macaroni Grill for lunch. We got two entres and shared them between the 4 of us. (we always fill up on bread!) While eating we decided to go see New Moon because none of us had seen it yet. We were all a little dissapointed with all the Jacob and wearwolf stuff! The movie was like the book, it dragged on and on! When Alice came back for Bella, it got good again. By that point the movie only had about a half hour left! Anyhoo, I could go on forever on why I didnt like it.... We all left the theature annoyed, not hating the movie, but not loving it! We then went to the mall to pick up Lara's family pictures at JC Penneys and decided we needed some cinnabon, got our cinnamon rolls, a drink, then headed home. I got home about 6:00 p.m. Danny was annoyed from LSU losing ( I was glad I wasn't home to see that!) I ate dinner, played with the kids, got them ready for bed...... It was a long eventful day! I had a blast!

Boy's Dr. App!

Yesterday my mom and I took the boys in for check ups and shots! Though Cam just got his 6 month shots (he's now 8 months), it's all good ;). We are a little behind! Anyhoo! Cam weighed only 16 lbs and 15 oz (only in the 5th %) he was 36 in long (in the 25%) and his head was in the 5th % (dont know the measurments). He is very tiny!! He's healthy and growing, but tiny!
Alex got the flue mist up his nose. He wasn't too impressed by the whole thing, but we told him that it would keep him from getting really, really sick. Still, not impressed by getting stuff shot up his nose! He weighed 31 lbs, which made me so happy!! He is finally big enough to get into a booster car seat!! Cam is getting too heavy to be carried around in an infant seat! I didnt see how tall Alex was, but he was in the 50th % for both height and weight. My big chunka monkeys!!

Happy Halloween!!

On Alhallows Eve's Eve, My sister and Brother-in-law (Nadja & Nathan) threw an awesome Halloween party! Alex was dressed as Buzz Light Year, Cam as a polar bear, and Danny and I were Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Luvett. It was so much fun to get dressed up!! I have not dressed for Halloween since I was in middle school, which is weird because Halloween is my favorite holiday! We Spent the evening, eating, chatting, watching the kids (especially mine) run around like crazy kids do, kids sneeking treats off the treat table. It was just a really good time!!

On Halloween my mom, sisters, and I went to see "Paranormal Activity". We decided it was the perfect scary Halloween movie! and that, it was! Such a scary movie! We ate lunch at the Japanese resturaunt before the movie, then came home to find out my kids were little stinkers for their dad (muahhaahhaaahhhaaa (evil laugh)) watched football until bed time, then I realized it was daylight savings time! YUCK!! I went to bed, completly freaked out, because of watching "Paranormal Activity", then having a totally explainable exerience happen, caused by the breaker popping, but the experience reminded me of the nightmares I used to have. All was good, tho. Haloween was fun!! Can't wait til next year! I'm already plotting out next years costumes :)

A Brother's Love

As you all know, I love both of my sweet little boys dearly..but, they can be little stinkers. Dont be fooled by their little angelic faces. Cam, although, only 7 1/2 months old has already figured out a way to get big brother in trouble! Cam loves to go in Alex's room with him and play. He has tons of toys, stuffed animals, a little t.v. with a dvd player and they watch Little Einsteins, or Mickey Mouse Club House. Although, Alex Is not completly inocent, Cam on occasion cries wolf. He will sit there and scream until I come in and yell at Alex to leave him alone. When come to find out Alex is no where near him, usually sitting on his bed watching his cartoons. He always gives Alex a smug little look as I carry him out into the living room. He thinks that he should have big brothers undevided attention.

The naughty litte things Alex does to him always keeps me running! Alex loves to rough house with poor little Cam. He has discovered tackling! Yes! Big Alex tackling poor little almost defensless Cam! Thank goodness nobody has gotten hurt! Alex is the true meaning of big brother! He is very sweet with him, most of the time, but the times he's not so sweet, he's horrible! He sits on Cam, he takes his toys away and makes him cry, he kicks and hits him (which usually gets him put in time out!), he tries to hide Cam under stuff (like wrapping paper, blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, ect...). Someday Cam will be bigger and give Alex a taste of his own medacine.... I hope I can survive!!

7 Months Already!!

My baby Cam-a-doos is now 7 months old!!! It's so crazy how fast time goes by!! He is such a good baby, always happy and smiling.. In fact, the only time he gets fussy and cries is if he's hungry or tired. He is such a little blessing in our lives!! (along with big brother Alex, of course) He has such a sweet little personality and loves his big brother so much!!! Sometimes Alex is the only one who can console him when he's sad. I just have the two sweetest little boys in the whole world!!

Saturday Night Football!

Tonight for the BYU game Danny had Henry, Trudy Bradford, Cal Payne, and Bruce Fox over. When Danny told me that everybody was coming over, I was excited, but was kind of worried about him having to sitch back and forth between chanels because LSU was also playing. When I asked him what he was going to do, he said " I'm gonna bring in the t.v. from our bed room". And that he did! When I saw it, I just sat there and laughed, and asked me what was so funny.. I said We have two t.v.'s in the same room with two different football games on, it's just funny! Then he thought about it and agreed.. We had a steak dinner, with baked potatos and potato salad. What a fun way to spend an evening!

Kids' check up

The other day i took the kids in for their 4 month and 2 yr check up. Cam weighed 14lbs 13oz and was 28 inches long and was in the 25% for all of those and was in the 30% for his head size (but I cant remamber what that was. Alex weighed 27.6 lbs and was 38 inches tall and is also in the 25% for those things. They are both growing and getting so big!! Alex has an imagination now, and the stories he come up with are so funny! He is getting better at talking, and picks up on EVERYTHING you say!! It's a good thing we dont use profanity!! He can speak in full sentances now, even tho it's hard to pick up on all the words he says. He knows alot of his shapes and colors and tries to count but it usually comes out 1,2,3,5,7,9,10,7,6,7,8,9.......... he tries. He scan recognize some letters, he knows b and I guess thats it and everything is a b. He is interested in space, stars, and the moon. When he's old enough he needs a telascope!! He loves swimming, running, and just playing. He has tons of energy!!
Cam is such a sweet little boy!! He was sick for a couple days after he got his shots, poor thing!! He ran a fever and wouldn't let me put him down for two days. I hate when the kids dont feel good!! He loves big brother!! He wants so badly just to get up and run around with brother and he gets so frustrated when he cant!! He cant do anymore tricks than he could in the last post. No teeth yet, he doesn't say mama or dada yet, and no crawling yet, but I told him that he was never to become mobile, or grow up!! He is to stay a baby forever, but I remember telling Alex that too, but he didn't listen either!! I love my little boys!! They are so sweet!!

2 1/2 years old!!!

I dont think that I've ever done a big post for Alex, and I didn't have a blog when he was born. Even tho he's 2 1/2 now and I have another kid, it still seems like yesterday that I found out I was pregnant with him. It wasn't an " easy pregancy" and it seemed like it was even harder to get pregnant with him. Before I got Pregnant with Alex I had two miscairages. The first one I was almost 10 weeks along and the baby died due to lack of perjestrone that I was not producing. The second one was about 3 months after the first and I was only about 6 weeks along. It took me nine months to get pregnant again, then it was a "good" pregnancy. I had no complications until later on when i was diagnosed with gestational diabetes but I never let that bring me down. I was called the food nazzi by my dr because I was not going to have to give myself insalin shots, so I was on a very strict diet, but it payed off because Alex was born a beautiful 6lb 5oz 19 in baby with no complications (and I never had to give myself shots!!).

Alex has been spoiled rotten since the day he was born mostly because I never thought it would happen for me. He has for the most part always gotten everything he ever wanted and is a little bit of a monster because of it, but he's my little monster:) I love my little Rocket so much!! I can not believe how fast he's grown up!!! Sweet boy!!

P.S. Alex started walking at 11 months and i'm so... scared Cam will do the same, or even earlier...scary!!
