Funny, Strange, Family Secret.....

This post is more for my kids, future grandkids, great greandkids and so forth....

The other day, I was over at my sisters (Nadja's) house. My parents were there, and my dad told me that if we needed any help with moving he'd come help (said he'd be our negro, only.... you know.) and Nadja and him started laughing, saying, yeah, you can ectually say that , because you actually are one.. I was completly lost, had no idea what they were talking about, so I asked. Who's black? They both looked at me "oh yeah, you were'nt here" great great grandpa Lines was half African American, half Native American. My jaw kind of dropped.. We always knew there was a huge "family secret" but only a coulpe people actually knew. Back when g-pa was alive, being half African American was pretty much an abomination, so it was kept a huge secret. Why it wasn't brought up in the last 50 years, though, I dont know..... My uncle knew, and his dad, but still a secret. So, my great aunt, and her kids went and got their genetics tested, and sure enough (among other things) African American... We always talked about how grandpa looked black, but never did we ever think that he was. We just thought he was a really dark Native American.. Anyways, Danny has had all types of fun calling me racial slurs.. It makes me laugh! He says I can say and do certain things because I'm black now, hahaha! So, now my children will know that their great, great, great, great (is that too many?) grandpa was half African American, and to their future wives and husbands. There is a small chance of having a baby that might not look white...

Our Life as of Late....

Alex "listening" to baby brother
Helping mommy make dinner

These little boys are completly AWESOME!

My belly is quickly getting HUGE!!! (belly at 26 wks, 3 days)

Hhmmmmm.... Where to begin... So, about three months ago we again tried to to get a loan mod on our house (this was the fourth or fith time we've tried to get the bank to work with us...) Still, it was a no go! You'd think they'd rather help somebody keep their house than have another forclosure, but,no... So we will be moving very soon! Right now our house choices are 1.) Trailer down the street for really cheap rent. 2.) One of our good friends has a trailer down in Overdale (inbetween Logandale and Overton) that he's said he'd do a lease option on for us, but with very high interest rate. (we're seriously looking at this option.. We can refi the loan once we are able to) or 3.) My cousins have a house that they are going to be renting out, but they are unsure what they are going to be charging for rent. (bottom of the list, most likely...) It's a little rough on me, being unsure as to exactly when the bank is going to kick us out (preferably before the baby gets here....) and not knowing exactly where we'll be living is kind of stressfull! I like having everything planned out. I guess I'm not very spontaneous, i'm a planner (hahaha!). I'm already out of energy from being pregnant and chasing two crazies around all day. I really need to start packing, I just haven't found the drive yet. I see complete chaos when everything is said and done. I'll either be moving when I'm giant and hugely pregnant, or with a tiny newborn. Either way, I kind of have a hard time seeing it be very easy...

Updates...

Danny has started his new job at the Best Lumber (I dont know what they are calling it now..) in Mesquite. He has a few jobs lined up to be starting up real soon and one job he got while he was at work, at Best Lumber. We are very excited about this! He's been so busy the last week and a half. Most nights he falls asleep on the couch and IF i can wake him up, i can get him to the bed, but most nights he sleeps on the couch because when he's asleep he's in a coma!

Alex and Cam are doing super good! Cam has been a little fussy the last week or two, refusing to eat. I dont know if he's feeling the stress, terrible two's, or if there's actually something wrong. Oh, he's also been sleeping alot... Maybe he's going through a growth spurt? Alex is still Alex, haha! He's getting excited about new baby brother. He talks to him, gives him kisses, puts his ear up to my tummy trying to hear Jonathan cry, the other day he was playing tag with him. He's finally decided that it was fun to help mommy cook, clean, and be a boss... Yeah, he thinks he's the boss... My boys are tons of fun, even though they can sometimes drive me nuts. I am doing good! Just a worn out old lady, so I feel most days. Most days I'm busy with cleaning, laundry, cooking, chasing, running around. It wears and tears at me quite a bit. Somedays all I do is sit on the couch (this is something I do when I dont get enough sleep at night). Sleep..... This baby sits really low on my pevic bone, which causes alot of pelvic "discomfort" and causes me to use the bathroom very often. I wake up about every two to three hours at night to go to the pottie. So, when the baby gets here I'll be all ready for the waking up every hour or what... I'm so excited for another boy! I'm a little nervous about everything, but super excited! Anyhoo.... ENOUGH rambling, hahaha!

New Years Resolutions (or might I say goals)

This year my goals are.....
1.Stop being so ornery!
2.Be a better wife/mother
3. Be a better house keeper! With every kid you add to the mix, it seems to get harder and harder to keep the house clean!! (that and Danny seems to get messier with age...)
4.Learn to cook well! I always go through little "cooking phases" but they never seem to last....
5.Being more patient! (this one is a hard one for me! I'm only patient to a certain degree before I lose my mind!)
6. To lose ALL my baby weight (after he's born of course) with in 3 months of popping the little nugget out!

New Years

So, you know I'm bored when I blog about nothing, hahaha! This year for New Years Eve, we stayed home (as we usually do) and watched a movie. I guess I dont care that much about celebrating a new year. While Danny and I were watching our movie, I fell asleep on the couch (about 10:30) then he woke me up at about 11:30 telling me I'm not supposed to sleep yet. I told his I was just too tired to stay awake and wanted to go to bed, so I did :). He "tried" to wake me up at 12, but I was too tired to even wake up long enough to say happy new year, hahaha! Yeah, I was an awesome date!
Here's to hopefully a better year than 2010! 2010 was much better than 2009 (tons better!) but our little economy still needs much improvement! Hopefully this year brings plentifull (in every way possible) to all!
