Our Trip To The Las Vegas Museum Of Natural History

Alex checking out the Eal tank
Daddn and Cam checking out the fish tankThis is a replica of Tut's chair when he was a little boy. It was made of gold and Ivory and other expensive things!

Checking out the things that were found in Tut's tomb when it was discovered

This was a plastic mummy in a plastic sarcophagus. Alex was only somewhat impressed.....

These were mummification tools (sorry so dark...)

Replica of Tut's Sarcophagus

A look into Tut's tomb and the main event!!! An actual repilca of Tut's Sarcophagus. Alex's face lit up like a kid on Christmas morning when we saw this!

First before I tell you about our trip I need to explain why Alex is so into Tut! Grandma with the kitties (Bradford) was babysitting Alex and she had a National Geographic. In this magazine was the family of King Tut. His supposed grandparents, parents, wife, himself, and possible babies (died at birth). There are pictures of their "mummies" (bodies) and he thought that was so cool! I've read their "storries" to him, who they are, where they are from, how they died, how they might possibly be related and so on.. He surprisingly is still very interested in the whole thing and knows their names, how they were "related" to Tut and even how they died. So I decided to see if Vegas had a Tut exhibit and low and behold... THEY DID! It was in The Museum Of Natural History! So last Sunday we had a little family outing! We went to the museum and saw the dinosaurs, mummies, sharks, fishies, "stuffed" animals and other cool things! The kids absolutly loved it! All three of the kids were great and well behaved. (who woulda thunk?) I had a pretty bad cold, but I still enjoyed it! It was great family fun LOL!

Three Months!

Jonathon yelling

Whining :) He's so cute!

I wish I could say how fast the last three months have gone, but I cant. My pregnancy with this little cutie FLEW by! Since he's come, time has seemed to stand still a little. I'm definatly enjoying every minute of it!

His accomplishments are:

he smiles,

coos,

and laughs. He is so ticklish! I cant get him dressed or undressed without him laughing!

He can sit up fully supported, of course.

He does not yet sleep through the night. He still wakes up one to two times a night. With my other two kids I couldn't wait til they slept through the night, but with him I dont really mind getting up with him. It will be very nice when he does sleep through the night, but i do like the us time we get that we dont get during the day with the other two monkeys running around.

His second feeding, which is about between 4-6:00 a.m., I have a really hard time staying awake for. I usually fall asleep and so does he! He has come quite accustomed to this! When I actually do stay awake and put him back to bed, he objects! I usually just pick him back up so we can cuddle and we both get a couple more hours of sleep! Yes, this little monkey is spoiled rotten! He pretty much gets whatever he wants, which at this age is just cuddles.

He is such a good baby! He never got colicy, he doesnt cry other than when he's hungry, tired, or has a dirty diaper. He has been a great little addition to our family! We sure do love him! (including his brothers.)

Family Ruenion and The Fourth Of July

This past weekend we went up to Utah for a family reunion of just the Bradford kids. We decided that we really didn't want to eat fast food, so on the way up we stopped at a park in Beaver for a picnic. The kids had a great time playing and running around!

Firday morning (after we all only got about four or five hours of sleep) we all got up early and headed to Lagoon! It was so much fun! We snuck Cam onto a few rides because we're bad.... We did'nt want to spend money on tickets. Alex and Cam both loved the choo choo! They loved looking at all the wild animals and just being on a train was so cool! We took the kids on Puff The Magic Dragon (a kiddie roller coaster that goes fast like a "big kid" roller coaster.) Alex thought it was great. Cam fraked out a little bit! We then went on a dinosaur drop thingy (like the stratosphere only for kids). Alex is afraid of hights and was shaking like crazy (surprisingly wasn't crying, though) Cam was scared and crying! Danny and I laughed so hard! We then took the kids on a pirate ship ride. Alex kind of liked it, but Cam hated it. By this time it was starting to get warm outside, so we decided to go to the pool. Alex and Cam were both so excited to go swimming! Alex was so excited that he thought he could run off! He was walking behind Danny and Danny turned around and Alex was no where to be found! I was so SCARED! We searched the park for 20 minutes when Danny finally found him. He was walking around scared and crying! I wanted to hug him then beat him for running off. I was so scared that he'd drown or been kidnapped. It was scary! He then clinged to me! He's now so afraid to leave my side, even long enough for me to go to the bathroom. I dont think he'll be running off again anytime soon.. After the water park we went and ate, checked out the pioneer village then ditched the kids for an hour or so, so we could go on the "big kid rides". I had so much fun on the roller coasters! I love them and surprisingly they dont make me sick. After our fun time it was getting late, so we left Lagoon. We all slept pretty good. Alex and I kept waking up. We dont sleep well in other places than our own beds, but we still probably got about six hours of sleep. Danny, Cam, and Jonathon all slept great!

This was our tracking device for Lagoon :) Saturday we went to the park for some lunch then were going to go to the lake for some boating fun, but there were so many people there that they closed up the docks and weren't letting people in. I was alittle bummed... So, we went back to Brian and Laynes house. Danny made some etouffe for dinner that night then we headed over to Mark and Janis' house for etoufee and a crawfish boil! I love craawfish and shrimp! We took some pics. My kids do not like to sit still for pictures! I think they think that the camera will still their sole!

Sunday was a pretty laxed day. We all slept in until 10. Alex and I again didnt sleep very well at all. We both kept waking up. We had dinner over at Scott and Kaylene's house, then we went to the ampetheature for family pics. I was dredding this! The pics were set for 7:00 p.m.! I just knew it was going to be a disaster! My kids and I hadn't been sleeping well, it was late, the kids hadn't been taking naps. All, of which were headed up for disaster, and disaster it was! Cam was his usual cranky self, nothing out of the ordinary for him but Alex was so BAD! He is never that bad, but he just sat there and scrame! He didnt want anybody talking, looking at, or touching him! It was very out of character for him to be like that. He wasn't having it and he'd had it! It was ugly, so I was jazzed when pics were done! After pics we went back to Scott and Kaylene's house for family home evening. We had to cut it short because we were leaving at bedtime so that the kids would sleep the whole ride home, and for the most part, they did. It was a quiet ride! I think we need to get the kids out more often. We haven't been on a vacation since Alex was 13 months old. So, the kids didnt travel very well! We need to get them used to it. All i know is that i'm glad to be home!

The fourth was pretty uneventful! The kids and I were too tired to watch the fireworks. We had dinner at Lara and Chris', came home and the older two went to bed and Jonathon and I cuddled on the couch and watched a movie. I did watch a few fireworks from my kitchen window, but that was it.

Dr Appointments, New House, Friends, Everything In Between :)

Last week I took Alex and Cam to the pediatrician for their immunizations. Alex's height (cant remember his height) and weight (37 lbs) was in the 50th %tile. They forgot to go over Cam's chart because Alex was being a stinker and the dr couldn't stop laughing (terd!). He weighed 24 lbs. I cant remember his height... So I'm guessing he's still very small but growing :). On Wednesday I took Jonathon to the dr for his two month. He weighed 12 lbs 2 oz. In the 75th %tile for that! (big boy!) His height was 23 1/4 inches 50-70th %tile and his head was the 50th percentile! He's growing like a weed! When I took Jonathon in, we went and visited my friend and her little girl. She is having a baby today and I'm so excited for them! It was so good to see them! Her little girl is adorable!
Yesterday the boys and I had lunch over at our sister/aunt from another mother's house. It was fun! Her house is so huge that the kids can run around like crazy and you might not even see them! The kids love it! Alex calls it Selley's castle! It's fun to play over there. Last night we celebrated my mom's, Allie's and Tara's birthday's. We had a huge combined birthday party for all of them. We had some bbq hamburger, hotdogs, cupcakes, presents. It was fun!
Our "new" house... Danny has been really working hard on it! He tore out all the kitchen cabinets and he is building all new ones! They aren't done yet, but they already look amazing! I love how crafty he is! He also found a place in Vegas that sells reminate flooring, so he got reminate wood laminate flooring (2 pallets) carpet padding and a minnie fridge all for an extremly low price! He also tore some carpet out of a house that looks like new, so thats going to be our carpet. We're going to be painting the entire inside (which is panneling... Ugly). It will be ready for us to move into in a few weeks. I'm getting really excited! Even though it's a trailer thats been added onto, it's going to look amazing when done! I cant wait til we get to move in and move on....

The Pacifier

(kind of a dumb post.... I'm bored!)

All the reasons I love the passy!

When Alex was born he hated his pacifier. I tried all shapes, textures, brands. He hated it, so I gave up on it. My sisiters told me to force it on him because a passy is a very good thing, but I didnt listen. He didn't want it so he didnt have it. Let me just say he was the fussiest baby! He cried ALL the time! He always wanted to suck on something so i'd think he was hungry, make him a bottle. He'd suck on the nipple long enough to fall asleep. Upon observation of the bottle, to see how much he'd eaten, NOTHING! He just needed to suck on it. So I decided that all my other babies would take a passifier!

Just to list a few....

1. It seems to soothe an upset tummy.

2. it can calm a baby down when nothing else seems to work.

3. It has been proven that putting a baby to bed with a pacifier in their mouth decreases the risk of SIDS.

4.they make baby happy, which makes mommy happy :)

One of the downfalls for me, is when its time to take it away.... Cam is almost 2 1/2 and still has his passy.... I have major anxiety about taking it away! It just makes him so happy!

Jonathon was not born a pacifier baby, but he is becoming one :) even though he is anything but fussy, it does help on the rare occasions when he is fussy. It also helps him to fall asleep alot easier. I usually just have to give him his pacifier and set him down in order for him to fall asleep. I love it! I love that he doesnt have to be rocked or held in order to fall asleep, but I do enjoy it, so he is usually put to sleep that way. It's not always nesassary, though. It help me out because I do have two other kids :)

The Secret LIfe

I dont know who watches this show, but if you dont you should ;).

I was watching Monday's episode. To catch you up, Ben and Adrian were expecting a baby girl. Well the baby dies. Of course I'm crying my eyes out throughout the episode while holding Jonathon in my arms. It really got me thinking of what could've happened to my Jonathon.... If I were a more patient person and actually waited for my dr to come back from his spring break vacation, or even another week for Dr. Martin to deliver the baby could I have been in the same boat? If I didnt go in that morning for an amnio who know's what could've happened. Jonathon wasn't looking very well on monitors before contractions even started. Watching that episode just brought flashbacks of walking to my o.r. not knowing if the baby was ok. Just waiting to see him and hear his first cry. Seeing Dr Swainston with that big huge smile on his face while holding Jonathon up in the air saying "your baby's fine" had to have been the best feeling in the world! I could never thank him enough for saving my baby! Who knows he could have been fine. You just never know...

Jonathon's Blessing Day

It looks like he's trying to karate chop the air

The family :)

Sunday the 5th of June we blessed Jonathon. Henry gave Jonathon his blessing. He always gives the most beautiful belssings!
