3 Months Old!!

So, Cam turned three months old today. His first two months were kinda rough, him being super colicky, but for the most part he has grown out of it. He is a happy little boy who loves other little kids. He will sit and talk to Alex for 20 minutes until he makes him cry by either pulling his hair, poking him in the eye, sticking his fingers in his mouth, or hitting him. Poor little kid!! Anyways, Cam is such a sweet little boy!! The older he gets the more he looks like Alex. He is not sleeping through the night yet. He still wakes up once or twice, but he goes to bed at 7:30. If i kept him up later he'd probably sleep longer, but I like him going to bed before Alex, so i get a half hour of just Alex and mommy time, where we read every book he owns because that is one of his favorite things in the world to do. Some of the thing's Cam can do is smile, he loves smiling!! Coo's (he tells many stories!) he can laugh, he focus's really well, without his eyes crossing. He absolutly hates tummy time, so I dont make him (I'm bad I know) He is just a sweet little guy and we love having him around!! He's my sweet baby:)

Memorial Day

Every year on memorial day, my mom and i get up and go to the cemetery and visit my grandma and grandpa Bowlers grave and put flowers on it. This year Nadja, Nathan, the kids, Lara and her kids all went with us. For as long as I can remember (back when I was younger and grandma and grandpa were still alive) every year on memorial day, we'd go put flowers on my great, great aunts grave? (something like that) Roam around for a while visiting friends graves visiting with the people who were there paying their respects to their loved ones. As soon as we were done, we'd go to McDonnalds. As my grandpa got older and worse (suffering from alziehmers sp??) It got more and more interesting. It was always, kids go get my purse and get out a thousand dollars so we can go get some breakfast at McDonnalds!! He would always say large amounts of money, and Grandma being completly aware would get frusterated with him. "Oh Grant!!!" She would say. She was such a funny little lady!! Always scolding us, grandpa, whoever. I have so many memories of them and miss them dearly!! Til we meet again!!

Danny being home

My little boy Cam is such strange little duck!! Since Danny has been up in Utah working for the past three weeks, the boy's dont get to see their dad at all on the week days. On the days Danny is not here, Cam goes to bed around 7:30-8:00 and will sleep until either 3:30-5:30 then sleep until 9:00 in the morning. When Danny is home, I cant get Cam to go to bed before 10:30-11:00, then he wakes up two or three times during the night. He just so badly wants to stay up and play with daddy!! It's really cute, but at the same time it's kind of frusterating for me, because I like the kids to go to bed early so I can get a littl "me time" before bed. I love my kids, and I love being a mom, but everybody needs time to themselves where they can just relax!! Cam needs to get used to daddy being here, because he's been going away on the week days since he was only 6 weeks old and now he's 10 weeks old.
Alex, on the other hand has been acting out alot more when Danny is not here. He throws at least one really bad temper tantrum a day, and wont nap (which is why he throw's temper tantrums, because he's super tired!) Alex has always been a really big mama's boy and so, when ever the baby starts crying he thinks that I should ignore the baby and hold him. I tell him that Cam needs hugs too, he just doesn't know how to talk yet so he cries. Sometimes I get too frusterated with Alex, and I shouldn't, it's just hard doing this by myself and i tend to get overwhelmed!! I keep telling myself that this is only termperary and hopefully sooner than later, Danny wont have to go up to Utah!! Anyways, we are just lucky that Danny has been able to work and for that I am extremly thankfull!!

Kids dr app

Yesterday I took the boys in for their imunizations. Alex now weighs 27.8 lbs and was about 38 inches long. (We had a hard time getting him to stand on the platform to get measured properly. ) Cam has grown so much!! He now weighs 11l bs and 2 oz and was 22 1/2 inches long. They are both growing and getting so big. Such sweet little boys!! I love them to death:)

Frusteration!!!

So, most of you know that Danny has been working up around Salt Lake, going on three wks now. I am very greatfull that they have work up there, and that his big bro's Scott and Mark are willing to pay him and Brian and Layne to take him into their home, but it has been so hard on me!! Alex throws temper tantrums at least once a day, like you wouldn't believe, and Cam now that I have changed formula's and bottles, has been doing so much better. His bad days have gotten far and few between, but he still has days that he wont sleep and cries alot, and he still wakes up twice a night. I feel kinda alone in the world, here with my two year old and new born. Some days I just feel like crying because I get so bored and lonley! I kind of feel abandond. It really has been hard!!! I guess what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger!! I hope that Danny will get some work closer to home, soon!!! I dont know how long I can keep my sanity!

Cam colicky??

So, my sweet little baby boy is so colicky. Some days he does pretty good where he sleeps like a newborn is supposed to and other days he cries from the time he wakes up at 8 or 9 until the time he goes to bed at night which can be anywhere from 8 to 10:30. I looked up online at webmd.com to see what caused colic and what home remedies I could use to calm him down. Come to find that colic is not always caused by excesive gas. There are many factors that could be the cause of colic ( i think the list was about 12 reasons) Danny gets pretty frusterated with him and tells me i need to take him to the dr so they can give him drugs, but I have a pretty good feeling that the pediatrition is just going to tell me he'll grow out of it. Which takes about three or four months, and he's almost two. Hopefully he grows out of it before Danny swears off having any more babies!!! (if he hasn't already)

Easter weekend

Then Sunday afternoon, we blessed Cam. He looked so handsome in his little blessing suite and alex and Dad in matching suites.

Sunday morning we had a big, family Easter egg hunting pajama party!! It didnt take long for Alex to get the hang of it and he was running around saying "eggs, eggs, eggs". He had a blast searching for eggs and running around outside.

We went to the fair Friday afternoon, and Alex got to ride the ponnies, which he really loved!! He went around saying yeeha, yeeha!! So cute! We decided to try to take him on some rides, but as you can tell, that didnt work!!! He was so tired and it was past his nap time, so he just wanted to go home.
