Meet Sally!!

Trying to get some sleep!
Dash is NOT too impressed by the addition!

Danny and Sally girl!

Growing up, I always had dogs and cats. Our dogs were rat type dogs and we had way too many cats, But i have so missed having a "biggish" animal family. I'm now very content with our 1 cat 1 dog animal family!
Sally's story of how she came to be is kinda funny! I've brought up getting a dog in the past to Danny but he always told me the same thing. Dogs are alot of work and you have children. So, his answer was always no! When Lara got Hank, they briefly thought about giving him to us because he was a stinker of a puppy! They decided to keep him (they are glad they did) but it made me really want a dog, bad! I was just happy to go vistit him over at his house. He's a really good dog! Well, 8 months later Nadja and Nathan got a puppy (Hank's baby brother) which made me so puppy hungry! He is so cute! I came up with a scheme to get a puppy without Danny knowing... (snicker snicker) I'd called the guy who had the puppy's and asked if he had any left. He said that they had two females left, and that was fine by me! I was excited all day! I couldn't take a nap! I went over to my moms house to pass the time and on my way to his house, he called and siad "can you come over at 6:30?" 6:30 was over an hour away, so I was very anxious and had no idea how I was going to sneak out of the house, because Danny was home and he knew nothing about the dog! I get home, make dinner quickly, i was too nervous to eat! 6:30 rolls around and I tell Danny I have to run over to my moms house real fast to pick something up! So, I sneak over to the guys house only with Alex (he knew where we were going!) and when I got there miss Sally was so cute and very sweet. I had to have her! She cost us $300.00, not very much money for a pure bred boxer! I pay the guy his money, load up Alex and the dog and I text Danny. I tell him I have a huge surprise for him that I'm super excited about, so he has to be excited too!He text's me back saying ok..... I told him to trust me! It was exciting! So I pull up, really nervous! I tell Alex to run in the house and tell Danny "SURPRISE!!" and he does it. I follow him in with the dog. Danny looked at me and said "what are we supposed to do with that" and I tell him "raise her as our own!" He just looks at me and shakes his head... Then he says "i thought you were going to come home and tell me that you were knocked up!" Nope, not that exciting, but very exciting still! Anyways, she warmed right up to Danny! She loves him! Follows him around, whimpers when he leaves the room. It wont be long until he loves her, too! I can just tell!

STRESS!!!

Life has been so stressfull! The closer we get to moving the more stressed/sad i become. I'm so excited to start a new life somewhere else, but so sad to leave everthing that I know. I really do know in my heart that everything will be ok. I just hope I can make it until then! I'm not a very good "stressed" person! Some people are stress eaters, well i'm a stress non-eater! By the time we leave i will have lost all my baby weight :) and then some :(.. That and I get short! I've been so cranky and irratable! I really dont mean to be, i just am. I've been trying to get stuff ready to pack up, papers organised to pack up. I got rid of most of my kid's toys and I have so much stuff to go thru! I hate moving! I've never moved halfway across country before, but I can imagine that it super sucks!! We have to leave alot of stuff behind because it would cost us way too much to get a trailer big enough to haul everything. Life is crazy right now!!

My Baby Is 1!!!

He is such a cheese ball! He LOVES getting his picture taken!
Loved the cake!

Bobby playing with Alex's dyson

Mattingly vacuuming

He has to "try" everything before he eats it

being bashful while everybody sang Happy Birthday

The cake (not that great, but you'll see why if you read)

the cake unlit

Today is the Doos' birthday! I certainly can not believe that it has gone by so fast!! It seems like just yesterday I was moving furniture around the living room trying to go into labor the day I went into the hospital to be induced. They grow way too fast!! I hate how fast they grow! I love watching them learn and grow, but I'm not to keen on them growing up! I wish that they stayed as young and inocent as they are right now! Anyways, back to the birthday boy! Today we went over to Grandma Shacks house for lunch. We then came home and took a nap. When Cam woke up, he was not such a happy camper! He scrame the entire time I was making his cake. He was screaming because he is quite spoiled! He is held, usually when he wants to be, and today I just couldn't! I guess that's my fault for spoiling him! I just love babies, and want to baby him for as long as he'll let me! Enough excuses, I know... I then made him some dinner, which he threw on the floor, not even eating a bite! I then had had it with him (I love you doos, but you can be quite a stinker sometimes!) Alex was also in rare form, refusing to eat his dinner, screaming and yelling. I wasn't such a happy camper by this point! So, I decided to sit down, eat some dinner, ignore my children and by the time I was done eating everybody was happy (including myself). Then the family started showing up and Alex became super happy and Cam did also. We had cake, opened presents then everybody left. What a great first birthday for my sweetheart! Happy Birthday, Doos! I love you!!

Georgia It Is.....

So, alot has happened in the last couple days. We have officially decided to move down to Georgia (hopefully Savannah area). We found a realator that wants to invest in a short sale to our house ( not quite sure what this means, but, cool!) I know what a short sale is, but not going thru a realator before the bank, Anyhoo... We really hope that works out for us! He told us that takes 90 days, then we'd be up to GA!! So, unless we have anything spectacular happen to us here, in about 4 months or so, we'll be in Goergia! I'm starting to get a little scared and antsy! I've never lived so faraway from home/family. It will be great, tho!! Hard, but great!! :)

Pros & Cons. Overton vs Atlanta!

Danny and I have been racking our brains trying to figure out what to do with our situation. The truth is, the cost of living here is just too much. It seems like the only people that are doing ok as far as work is police officers. Even firemen have been losing their homes! (with the excption of dr's, lawyers, indian chiefs , had to throw that one in there heehee) Anyhoo, the fact is that unless Danny gets a good steady job that pays up to 5,000.00 a month, we cant afford to stay... I would love to get a job, but there is no decent paying jobs anywhere around here hiring. I've come up with a list of pros and cons of staying and leaving....

Here it goes... Pros and cons of staying......
Pros..
1. Family, moving away from them would be sad :(
2. We worked so hard to buy our first house, leaving it would be devistating!
3.All my doctors (I know weird!) I finally found an OBGYN and Pediatrician that I LOVE!
4. We know everybody ;)

Cons...
1. Nosey people (if you've ever lived here you know what I'm talking about)
2.The thought of not having enough money to get by. Possibly losing our house (like everybody else)
3.Too expensive
4. Too expensive
5.Too expensive (so, you get where I'm going with this.)
6. Danny cant go to school, like he'd like to.
7. I couldnt go to school if i chose to.
8. Crappy school for the kids...

Pros of moving to Georgia...

1.Affordable living.
2.Danny could go back to school for a degree in architechture (he wants to do this)
3.Open up the doors for so many possabilities!
4.I could go to school (I've thought about it)
5. Better schools for the kids (school dist sucks here.)
6.The FOOD!
7. I can learn how to cook some yummy southern food!
8. Starting over, making new friends...

Cons..
1. Moving so far away from family
2. Starting over, making new friends....

As you can see, I'm torn!!

We Have Been Blessed!

Bathtime fun, mohawk!

Eating some treats!
Last night, while I was trying to drift off to sleep I got thinking...The past year has been so rough as far as work, family, stress goes. We cant afford all of our bills, even if I got a job, it would help very little becuase finding a good job here isn't easy, then I'd be working to pay a babysitter. While Danny and I were sitting in the hot tub last night ( he has whip lash from his neck down to his butt!) we were weighing out all our options as far as staying, packing up and starting over somewhere else and how it would be very hard for me, since i'm such good friends with my sisters and how not seeing them at least once a week would be really hard! Right now we really cant see us being able to stay here. With the improvments we've made to our house it was assesed at $215,000.00, which isn't bad considering we paid $265,000.00, but it isn't worth what we bought it for, and it's just a trailer, so selling it would be impossible! I thought about renting it out, but every month in the paper there is at least 17 homes for rent, some with a lease option. So, as far as renting our house out, that wouldn't work. It'd just add to the rest of the homes out here! A part of me (if we could afford it) wants to just walk away, buy a house for cash somewhere, Danny could work full time, I could work part time, we'd be comfortable with no mortgage only having to worry about taxes, utilities, insadentals, and such. I really just feel like we are between a rock and a hard place! We cant afford our house, but we cant afford to leave. The Nevada economy is just so bad for us, and we really dont see it turning around anytime soon. Oh, the stress! Anyhoo, back to my original thought.. The things we have been so blessed for!
1. We bought our first house (cant afford it, but have it)
2.We've always found a way to stay afloat!
3. We have two AMAZING little boys who are healthy!
4. We are both in good health
5. We have 3 vehicles and two are paid for
6. We have never gone hungry, or had a utililities turned off.
7. We've never had to stand outside a gas station to beg for money.
8. We've never had to go without.. ( although, you will not see us out on a big shopping spree anytime soon)
9. For now, we have a roof over our head
10. We both have amazing family's LOT'S OF LOVE!
For all of this, we have truly been blessed! I feel like we may be closing this chapter of our lives soon. On to the next! It would be a miracle if we got to stay here, so I've come to the peace that we may have to leave. I will cry my eyes out, but it will be an adventure!

Kids Check Up!

I love how Alex cuddles up on Cam! It's so sweet!
Yesterday I took the boys to the dr. Cam only weighed 17lbs 14oz 2-5 % and was in the 25 % for his height and head size (cant remember the measurments..). Alex was 33 lbs 50% and 38 in. I think, about 50th%... When the dr started asking me questions he asked me if Cam was getting three meals a day (yes) and if he was a good eater (not so much). He then asked me how much milk he was getting. I told him as much as he wanted.. Not so good! Cam doesn't eat alot because he's not hungry! I never had this problem with Alex! He'd drink all the milk he wanted and still scarf anything down that I gave him, lots of it too! He was like a little hoover! He's picky now, but he'll eat lots of the foods that dont look suspicious! Anyhoo, they told me no milk for 1 hour before a meal, no milk til he eats his food all gone (or close to it) and that he should only get about 16 oz of milk a day! If he's thirsty before a meal, he gets water. We tried it this morning, giving him breakfast before milk. He wouldn't eat at first, so I gave him some water. He drank almost the entire cup of water, then he ate his cerial almost all gone! The dr was very helpful! I think Cam will start being a good eater now!
