One month old!!!

Our little prince turned one month old on Friday. He is such a sweet little thing, and he's growing like a weed!!! He can now focus on people, and the t.v. ;) and loves his older brother who is constantly giving him hugs and kisses, but also kicks him in the head on occasion (what are big brothers for?!) He is not as good as a sleeper as he was the first two weeks. He now wakes up every 2 to 3 hours to eat and gets super gassy at 3 in the morning. Last night he actually kept us all awake (including Alex), but thank goodness for gripe water. He gets so gassy that even gas drops dont help, but gripe water works miracles!! We feel really blessed to have him in our lives, for he is such a sweet little thing!!! I cant wait til he sleeps a little better, though. I actually do enjoy the bonding time we get together with a couple night time feedings, but every two or three hours is kind of rough!! I wish I could sleep in, but with Alex that's non existing, and with napping, they happen to not want to nap at the same time. I think they like making my life a little more stressfull!! I try to take a nap after Alex wakes up from his nap and Cam is finally asleep, but Alex throws toys at me, so it's kind of hard to sleep. Anyways, I cant wait for him to start smiling real smiles and he has started to try and coo, but i think that is about a wk away or so.

Cam will be two weeks old tomorrow. Let me just say that he has been a dream!!! He is down to only waking up two times during the night. I put him to bed at 10, 10:30, just depends on when he wakes up to eat then he doesn't wake up until about 1:30 to 2:30 then he wakes up again at about 5:30 to 6:30 then sleeps until 8 when Alex wakes up. I just keep waiting for all hell to break loose, for him to just stop being so good, but hopefully he'll comtinue to be a good boy.

Our adjustment (mine and Alex's) to having another baby has been, also surprisingly easy.I really thought that Alex would become a complete monster, but he hasn't been all that bad. He is such a momma's boy i thought that he would freak out about the other baby taking most of my attention, but Alex really loves his little baby and doesn't mind me holding him. So far, all my fears have not been an issue, and HOPEFULLY!!!! they will continue to be a non issue.

Kids' dr app

So, today my kids had dr app's. Cam was a follow up after his circumcision, which has healed up very nicely and Alex was going to get shots but we realized it was just a little but too early (which was good because he was already super cranky!!) Cam has almost gained a whole pound since birth, weighing 7lbs 5ozs at todays app which puts him in the 25 percentile and Alex was 26lbs and about 34 inches long ( he wouldn't really hold still for the nurse to get a really acurate measurement) but he is in the 50 percentile for hight and weight. My boys are just growing so fast!! They need to slow down!! Anyways, other than Alex screaming most of the time, it was a good morning, spent with Aunt Noni, and myself of course:)!!

My new baby boy!!

So, I had my baby Friday 27, 2009. He came in weighing 6lbs 8oz and 18 inches long. I cant get my photos to upload, my stupid photoshop is being stubborn, but he is the cutest little guy!! (I will try to upload photos again tomorrow) He has a full head of lightish hair and just so cute! I could go on forever about how cute he is,but I wont. I will tell you my labor story instead, cause I know I love to hear about other peoples labors, so I'll share mine:).
I was scheduled for an incuction only three days before my due date. We showed up to the hospital 9:00 p.m. Thursday the 26. I had started to have little contractions on my way into the hospital, but nothing big. When we got there the nurse wasnt sure what medication my dr wanted to use for induction so she called him when we got there. My luck not being the greatest, he was busy and asked her if he could call her back. Well, he forgot and didnt get in touch til after 10:30, but he wanted me to be put on pitocine. So they Finally start me at 11:00 and I wanted to hold off on the epidural for as long as I could. I started having contractions every 2 minutes and felt like I was going to throw up with every contraction, I was in so much pain, so I had my nurse call for an epidural, again, my luck! the anasthesiologist was at home in bed and I had to wait 20 min for him. So i'm waiting, watching the clock and the monitor then He comes and saves the day. My nurse checked my cervix and I was only dialated to a four. I wanted to just give up, but then she broke my water. His heart rate kept dropping at this time because his head was kinda wedged under my pelvic bone and with every contraction, his heart rate would drop quite a bit. They put me on my side and gave my oxygen. Well it wasn't 20 min after I got my epidural, only being dialted to a four, i started feeling a little bit of pressure. Surely enough I was dialated to a ten and he was coming!! ONLY 20 min. So she got me set up for delivery and asked me if I remembered how to push, and I said "yeah, I think so" so with my next contraction she told me to push then she told me to stop, instantly. She didint want to deliver my baby. My dr got there about 10 min later and I pushed 2 more times and he was out. Born at 5:40 am. I was surprised how fast the pushing went, only 2 and 1/2 pushes and with Alex I pushed for an hour. It was so easy!! Anyways, he came out screamin:) and happy and healthy, even though they did take him to the nursery for a few hours so he could be monitored since his heart rate kept dropping. That sucked!!! but, were home now and he's a good little baby, and did I mention he was cute?

It's been a little while!!

It's been a while since I've posted anything, so here's something new (i guess). Well, my due date is approaching rather quickly (the 2nd of March) and my induction date is approaching even faster (February 27) I still have so much that I would like to do before the baby gets here, but I'm not sure if it will get done in time. I have been so exhauseted lately that I get one room presentable, then I need to rest and am dead for the rest of the day. I really just need to force myself to get it all done, then I wont have to worry about it! This pregnancy has just completly kicked my butt!!!
At my last app my dr decided to do an ultra sound because I'm measuring a three wks small, but according to the u.s everything was great!! My fluid was good, and so was the baby, he's just going to be little. I cant wait to hold the little guy!!! Alex on the other hand is a little in denile. I think that he just thinks mommy is fat and her fat likes to kick him when he's cuddling. It's funny because he'll try to push my belly out of his way, and I keep telling him that mommy's belly is going to be there for a little while longer, then he'll get a new baby brother. I'm just a little nervouse about the sleepless nights and dealing with a needy todler. It's going to be a little difficult at first!! especially with the whole breast feeding thing. We'll get the hang of it though.
Alex has had the flue for the past couple days. It has been really rough!!!! He wants to cuddle with somebody every waking moment, and he wont really eat anything. I really just want to get him well before we bring the baby home, next week. If he's not well by Monday I'm going to take him to the dr and demand that he be put on antibiotics because I am having this baby on Friday!! I cant bring a new baby home to a sick kid. It would be a complete pain in the butt!!! Have two screaming kids, no thankyou! Anyways, next update will be with the baby:) I cant wait:)!!!
